Welcome to the Cody Senior Center
Our mission is "to make a positive impact in our seniors' lives by providing supportive services, transportation, meals and social services."
Programs & Services
Public Transportation Services
WYDOT compliant door-to-door transportation
Our door-to-door public transportation system provides up to 1600 trips per month for such essential needs as trips to medical appointments, for grocery shopping, to social outings, and during COVID our team picked up and delivered groceries and prescriptions. Not their main function, our team also supports the Rolling Meals program as needed, by delivering meals to eligible seniors. CCoA's transportation provides services up to 10 miles outside the Cody city limits. A minimum of a 24-hour notice is needed to schedule a ride, with a preference for 48-hour advance notice.
The fare for on-way rides is a $2.00 suggested donation for seniors. Non-seniors pay $3.00 for each on-way trip.
Nutrition Services
Title III Nutrition Services are provided as a part of the Older Americans Act. These hot nutritious meals meet the one-third Recommended Dietary Allowance. For some seniors, these meals are the single nutritious meal that they will receive that day. CCoA provides these meals as part of our congregate on-site lunch and through our home-delivered Rolling Meals program for eligible seniors unable to attend a congregate on-site lunch.
With COVID, and during times of closure to inside activities, meals are provided curbside, with an increased number of seniors allowed to have home-delivery.
Currently, curbside pick-up is provided between 11:00am and 11:30pm, Monday through Friday, and every third Sunday of each month.
For seniors 60 years of age and older, the meal cost is a $4.00 suggested donation. No senior is ever denied a meal. For on-site dining, non-seniors (must accompany a senior), the cost is $6.00.
Supportive Services
Title III B Supportive Services are provided as a part of the Older Americans Act.
Title IIIB Services are what provide crucial socialization activities to seniors.
Thrift Barn Store
The Thrift Barn at the Cody Senior Center is filled with many eclectic items. Because we accept donations of all sorts, you never know what we will have in our store at any given point in time! Clothing, baby items, electronics, kitchen items, home décor, crafting supplies, books and movies, tools and more. Small furniture items such as end tables, coffee tables, mattresses and bed frames, and bookshelves frequent our store. However, they leave just as quickly as they appear! You can literally visit our store daily and see different items each time. So don't wait, go check it out before what you don't realize you need is already gone! Donating gently used items to our Thrift Store helps us to make a difference and provides vital unrestricting funding to cover expenses that our many of are grants don't...these funds help us to continue to serve our seniors. All proceeds from The Thrift Barn benefit the Cody Senior Center. You may drop off donations Monday's and Saturday's from 8AM until 12PM.
